![]() Upon bugs appearing in other mods, Chaos claims that they are badly written in order to gain more users for his mods - which in turn are designed to cause bugs in other mods. Those bugs are affecting TM:PE users (we have several confirmed cases) and when TM:PE team go in to investigate we are hit by malware.Network Extensions 3 was modified with "tripwire" code specifically designed to cause bugs in other mods. While the malware is trivial (it randomly alters speed limits), it's caused a lot of excess support workload and raises concerns about what other malware may be present (particularly in the Harmony "Redesigned" mod).Network Extensions 3 contains malware which directly targets multiple members of our team, dozens of other modders, employees of Colossal Order, and dozens of Steam users many of whom will not be aware that they are targets of malware. If wealth begins at the creation of things, and we create very little and import almost everything, where does our wealth actually come from? Another big problem that should be really worrying for people playing this.In TM:PE 11.6.4.8 we are marking _all_ mods by Chaos / Holy Water / drok (same person) as incopatible for the following reasons: One of America's biggest economic problems is actually outlined very well in City simulators. Wealth created naturally flows through everything.Įconomics doesn't have to be super complicated, there are a lot of good arguments for laissez-faire, just let everything develop naturally instead of trying to control everything centrally. Residential works at the other places, getting money to spend on the goods they themselves are producing. Commercial can also create wealth by providing needed services, like your ISP. Commercial marks them up to pay their workers and for distribution. Wealth really begins at the industrial, where goods are created. Industrial to work for creation of goods. Commercial to work, sell, distribute goods. No one is going to try to implement debt based economics we use here today in a game, it's completely convoluted. How so? Obviously relatively basic but cities economy is actually extremely educational. That's a pure cash grab by companies that don't even do r&d. That may be the case with new drugs that are priced high until they go genetic. And they distort the rationale by saying it's to pay for future r&d. They often have patient assistance programs for people without insurance so they can rationalize the whole exercise to say it's really only insurers that pay that. Crony capitalism allowed those companies to use government to ensure that they have no competition, then they raise the price that insurance companies and government will pay before they are willing to not pay, and then they set that price right on that area. The exceedingly high costs of certain drugs like insulin are caused by completely different mechanisms. That is exactly how the open market should work. They will both study the market to determine the most we are willing to pay and then either charge just a bit more or a bit less depending on if it's the government or a business and what their goal is (to encourage or discourage).
